Ontario's New Safety Inspections Requirements
Safety inspections are mandatory in Ontario, and the Ministry of Transportation has recently updated the procedures for conducting and certifying these inspections.
In 2025, Ontario's vehicle safety inspection system is transitioning to a fully digital platform called DriveON, replacing the old paper-based Motor Vehicle Inspection Stations program.
As of April 1, 2025, all safety inspections must be completed through the DriveON system. These updates aim to improve transparency, accuracy, and record-keeping in the inspection process. The new requirements involve a detailed assessment of key vehicle components, including brakes, suspension, tires, lights, and more.
At our garage, we are fully certified under the new system and strictly follow all Ministry regulations. We provide trusted, Ministry-approved Safety Standards Certificates to ensure your vehicle meets Ontario’s safety standards.
